The ideal view point over San Diego, California, with a great lookout over the enormous US naval base there, is the Cabrillo National Monument. I took a drive up there, as there's plenty of parking and an information centre, to learn more about the history of the city and its close ties to Mexico... Despite the cloudy photo, San Diego is a sunshine city!
